Who wants to try out for a mystery show?
What if we told you the ‘Millionaire’ people are involved?
It’s like this, folks: Sometimes while they’re putting together quiz shows, they don’t actually tell you what it is. Who knows why? We don’t.
Anyway, that’s the deal with a show they’re casting right now. They say it’s “fun and exciting,” that it has a “HUGE cash prize.” They say they’ll be shooting it in Las Vegas in mid-June, and they’ll provide travel and accommodations for contestants. They say it’s from the creators of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, and it involves 13 true-or-false questions.
As some have noticed, that sounds an awful lot like Lucky 13, a putative show from the WWBAM creators, hosted and co-produced by Kevin Bacon. Of that show, Variety said in 2022, “Studio 1 is currently in discussions with broadcast networks in the U.K., U.S., Europe, Middle East and North Africa, Australia and Asia.” The U.S., you’ll notice, is one of those places listed.
So, is this that show? Will you have a chance to give yourself one degree of Kevin Bacon? We don’t know. And we don’t know the deadline to sign up for your pre-interview, if you’d describe yourself as one of the potential “contestants that love trivia and that are fun and competitive.” But we know that if you are one of those people, and you wanna try out, you should email kristenpatecasting@gmail.com … and we’d be quick about it, if we were you.
