Hello all, I am Kyle and I would love to be your Quizmaster this evening.

I have an irrational love for all things nerdy, I am terrible at pronouncing geography, and I tend to go a bit megalomanic on my blog.

For any and all further questions, catch me at one of my quiz locations.

This week at the Ram it was April Fools. While most people would think that would entail some kind of elaborate prank on the quizzers, maybe something involving ice-cold water, whoopie cushions, or fake/real snakes, instead we had lots and lots and lots of questions on Kevin Bacon.  We have already lost (Bob) Hope, (Johnny) Cash, and (Steve) Jobs, there is no way I could live in a world that is also without (Kevin) Bacon.

I also would like to call attention to the most underrated movie of the illustrious Mr. Bacon's career: Tremors.  Is it a horror film? Is it a comedy? Why does Reba McEntire have an elephant gun in her basement? If the town only has one phone line then how do they also have power?  So many questions, so many awesome KB one liners.

In all seriousness the quiz was amazingly fun, we had a very exciting training for a new venue opening up (O'Doyles) in Tacoma on Thursdays. That doesn't mean you can neglect your time at the Ram with me of course. It just means you have one more opportunity to get hammered and heckle.  See you next week!

Did you know that Al Gore has an Academy Award? Seriously?!?! Oh, nevermind, I bet its for the "ManBearPig" Southpark episode. That makes sense now.  I was so hung up on the fact that Al Gore has an Academy Award that I didn't even realize that I was singing a totally heavy metal song to myself that happens to sound exactly like N'Sync's "It's Gonna Be Me" for very short bursts.  Of course my singing was misinterpreted as me actually enjoying N'Sync, which as we all know is impossible. Let me tell you, the people who brought this up were pretty embarrassed when they realized their folly.

Anyway, aside from the normal intellectual douchebags (Holmes, House, Stark {Tony not Ned}) that I normally identify with, this quiz taught me there is another important subtype that I heavily lean towards: Alcoholics.  Yes, despite not having much of a taste for the stuff myself, it turns out that some of my favorite artists and auteurs from history were very good friends with the booze. I don't know what this says about me but probably nothing good.

In the rest of the quiz we found out that Shakespear was a horndog, clowns ruined all of our childhoods, and no one cares about WWI.  See you next week guys!

Hello everyone,

As anyone who looked at the score sheet can see, we started out with a boatload of teams. And ended with . . . not a boatload. I personally didn't know the day after Cultural Appropriation of the Irish. . I mean St. Patty's day was such a big bar day. I guess march madess did start (kinda) and the weather was nice outside (kinda).

All this means though is that our brave and loyal quizzers who lasted the entire time were rewarded all the more, except the team that got last place that is.

This week we learned about American Painters (other than Bob Ross) people that won fights (both real and fictional), Naughty By Nature's defintion of OPP, and we mourned the loss of Terry Prachett.

The most suprising thing this week, is that we only had one team name that I found mildly offensive, and it was Lord of the Rings themed so I didn't really even care.  See you guys next week!
